Laser/Material Interaction Test Chamber

Test chamber used to expose various materials to high energy laser irradiation. Material testing can be conducted in a wide variety of gas compositions with a variable pressure range from 250 mTorr to 1 atm. Windows on all sides of the chamber allow access for optical diagnostics including, but not limited to, video recording, optical emission spectroscopy (OES), and thermal imaging. Materials tested in chamber include graphite, carbon-carbon, ABS plastic, zirconia, alumina, silicon carbide, and nickel based alloys.
